Saturday, 22 October 2022, 12:10 Last update: about 3 years ago

NGO Repubblika on Saturday presented a formal written complaint to PBS editor Charles Dalli and Head of PBS News Norma Saliba with regard to what the NGO said was "a misleading report" on the removal of Magistrate Nadine Lia.

Repubblika claimed that the report, which appeared yesterday on the national channel, is misleading.

It said that the only revocation ordered by the Constitutional Court is the one requested by Repubblika. The NGO said that the PBS report conveyed the opposite message.

“Maltese people deserve to be informed of the facts as they truly are, and not facts which are manipulated and turned upside down,” Repubblika said.

Repubblika asked Dalli and Saliba to immediately, and within the term established by law, report truly what the Court revoked yesterday 21 October.

“It is unacceptable that the national broadcasting station still persists in these deceitful tactics which are intended to promote the government and deprive the people of the truth,” it said.

Repubblika encouraged Maltese and Gozitans to attend tomorrow’s, Sunday 23 October protest called ‘Se Naslu’ which will take place in Republic Street, Valletta at 3.30pm.
