Floriana and Balzan produced no goals and few emotions in a low profile match, with both sides happy with the point earned at the end of the ninety minutes.

It must be said however that although attempts at goals were few, these few chances could have changed the outcome of the game, with Floriana twice hitting the crossbar and with Balzan also hit‐ ting the crossbar with a Kaljevic header.

Floriana were coming from a rather negative spell in which they only gained a point against Sirens from their last three out‐ ings.

The main problems for Atzori seem to be coming from the for‐ ward line, as Floriana yesterday failed to score for the fourth con‐ secutive match, with their last goal being set against Valletta in the derby win.

On their pary, Balzan are also finding it difficult to put the ball at the back of the net as this was their second consecutive score‐ less draw.

Floriana had more of the ball but Balzan had their moments too and the draw result was a fair one.

The match failed to ignite with the first attempt on 29 minutes when a Da Grazia freekick was met by defender Rutjens whose header landed on the crossbar with Debono completely beaten. Sixty seconds later Balzan almost opened the score with a Nogureira header just sailing over the bar.

On 32 minutes another good move from Balzan with Kaljevic passing towards Ljubomirac whose effort was blocked by Ki‐ tanov.

On the resumption Floriana in‐ troduced Jan Busuttil and Trillo and after twop minutes Nwoko headed wide a Busuttil cross.

On the hour Balzan’s greatest opportunity when Bojan Kaljevic close range header smashed againt the crossbar.

On the other end Debono saved a Busuttil header and ten minutes from time a Paul Fenech dipper went just over the bar.

In the closing minutes both sides kept searching for the winning goal with substitutes Jalu and Her‐ shkovich missing good opportunities.
