A passenger was taken to hospital after the car he was in was involved in a crash with a parked motorbike, the police said.

The accident took place in Sanctuary Road, Zabbar, on Satursay at 2am.

The passenger, a 35-year-old man of Zejtun, was in a Toyota Corolla whose driver, a 24-year-old man of Zejtun, lost control.

The car ended up hitting a Honda bike which was parked on the side of the road.

The driver suffered no injuries, while the passenger was grievously hurt.
