Two men were taken to hospital after a car crash in Gzira on Wednesday.

Police told The Malta Independent that the accident happened at around 3:20pm along the Strand in Gzira.

The crash happened between a Renault Fluence, driven by a 51-year-old man from Ta’ Xbiex, and a Jaguar E-Pace driven by a 64-year-old man from Attard.

Both men were taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. 

The police later said that the 51-year-old man sudffered grievous injuries while the other driver was slightly hurt.
