The Minister for tourism, Clayton Bartolo said that the Malta Tourism Authority carried out around 200 inspections on the placing of tables and chairs between the first of June and the end of October 2022.

He responded to a parliamentary question put forward by PN MP Rebekah Borg.

Bartolo said that approximately 76 inspections were carried out in Malta and 24 were carried out in Gozo.

However, each inspection requires at least a further inspection to make sure that the restaurant adheres to the instructions given.
