A 59-year-old male motorcyclist from Qrendi has been hospitalised after being involved in an accident with a car.

The accident happened in the Santa Venera Tunnel.

The motorcycle was a Kymco, whilst the car was a Toyota Aygo.

The car was being driven by a 33-year-old female Marsaxlokk resident.

A police spokesperson told the newsroom that authorities were informed about the accident at 16.15 p.m.

The condition of the man is still unknown.
