A man was injured when he was hit by a motorbike in Zabbar on Friday morning, the police said.

The accident took place in Villabate Street at 8am.

The pedestrian, a 67-year-old from Zabbar, was hit by a Peugeot Tweet bike.

Both the pedestrian and the biker, a 36-year-old man also of Zabbar, were given first assistance on site.

The pedestrian was later taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
