Ryanair has announced its biggest ever schedule for Malta, with 66 routes which include four new routes to destinations like Baden, East Midlands, Memmingen and Stockholm.
In a press conference on Wednesday, the airline spoke of how it has increased its frequency to 20 other popular destinations such as Barcelona, Rome Ciampino, Catania, Milan, Valencia, Milan, and Vienna.
In total, this new summer schedule is also expected to support over 3,000 local jobs, which include a direct pilot, cabin crew and several engineering jobs, the airline said.
For the coming summer, the Ryanair is also expected to operate more than 470 flights on a weekly basis with six Malta-based aircrafts.
When compared to summer 2022, the number of flights expected for the coming season totals to a growth of around 26%.
The company announced that Malta’s customers can now visit the website and book the announced four routes at €29.99 for travel between April and October of 2023.

On his part Malta Tourism Authority CEO Carlo Micallef said that “Following a successful 2022 which saw tourism recover to 2.3 million arrivals in a year which had commenced facing the challenges and restrictions of the Omicron variant, we are looking forward to an even stronger recovery during 2023 which should get us very close to 2019 record results. This positive attitude is underpinned by strong airline capacity increases both in terms of numbers of routes and in terms of frequencies. Ryanair and its Maltese subsidiary Malta Air are important contributors to this surge in airline connectivity and the announcement of their summer 2023 schedule is testament to their faith in the regrowing of Malta’s important tourism industry.”
