Transport Minister Aaron Farrugia inaugurated the Mriehel underpass as part of the Central Link Project which spans from Rabat to Mriehel, on Monday.

Farrugia praised the project for already working for a number of months.

He mentioned how he is aware of all the complaints that come with carrying out this work, however, he said that the only alternative would be to not conduct these infrastructural works.

He acknowledged that the work does not stop here and now he looks towards finalising works at the airport and the Luqa junction. Once these are done, he said that they will focus on the Msida Creek project.

CEO of Infrastructure Malta Ivan Falzon praised the work that the workers have done and pointed out all the positive feedback this project has received.
