The Nickelodeon Treasure Hunt activity will return to Malta and take place on 27 and 28 May, Tourism Minister Clayton Bartolo and chairman of the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) Gavin Gulia announced during a press conference.
During this two-day event, Valletta will transform into a festival for families involving popular animation characters, such as SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, Transformers and Baby Shark.
The attractions will be found in Republic Street, Pjazza Teatru Rjal, Pjazza La Valette and Pjazza Tritoni.
There will also be a treasure hunt for families and children in other tourist attractions, such as Għar Dalam, Ħajar Qim Mnajdra temples, the Archaeological Park, the National Museum of Natural History and St. Paul’s Catacombs.
Bartolo spoke about the importance of family tourism, and how this is a niche that is constantly growing. “It is important that we continue to follow the requests of today’s tourists.”
He added that the government is committed to strengthening any events organised in the future and striving to overcome seasonality in tourism.
Gulia said that the MTA is committed to continuing to assist more events of this nature so that Malta truly embraces a sustainable future for the time to come.
