Police have said that one person was so far reportedly injured after an incident where a car overturned in Mdina Road, Zebbug.

Footage on social media shows an overturned car in Mdina Road, and police confirmed that an ambulance and the Civil Protection Department showed up on site. The incident happened at around 3pm.

The footage also showed that two other vehicles crashed into each other, near the overturned car.

Police told The Malta Independent that a man had been injured, but no information on the individual’s condition was given. The street is closed for traffic on both lanes, this newsroom was told.

Commuters have reported that there is a significant build-up in traffic in the area as a result of the accident.
