ADPD-The Green Party deputy leader Sandra Gauci is set to take over the leadership of the party on Saturday, succeeding Carmel Cacopardo, who had announced his departure soon after the 2022 election.

The party will be holding the annual general meeting, during which the transition of power is to be made formal, with Gauci being the only contender for the post.

In a blogpost, Cacopardo said that although he will relinquish the top position, he will remain active in the party.
