PN concerned about patients moved from Sir Paul Boffa hospital ending up in Mater Dei corridors

The PN has expressed concern that, "due to negligence, patients who were at Sir Paul Boffa hospital in Floriana ended up being transferred to Mater Dei Hospital, being kept in corridors."

This was in relation to news reports that patients at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital were evacuated after "structural damage" was discovered during refurbishment.

The PN appealed to the government to invest millions in the health sector, in medical personnel and in patients.

It appealed to the government to provide dignity to patients.

The PN said that in unveiled plans for the sector over the past days - to improve working conditions of workers in the health sector, to invest in St Luke's and for it to be incorporated in the health system, for more modern health apparatus, to construct a new mental health hospital, and more.
