A man was grievously injured on Friday evening when he was hit by a car in Swieqi, the police said.

The man, aged 35, was hit by a Hyundai Matrix driven by a 47-year-old man of San Gwann.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.

The accident happened in Triq is-Sidra.
