A traffic accident in San Gwann at 9.45am saw a motorbike rider grievously injured, the police said.

The accident occurred on Naxxar Road.

The rider of a Kawasaki motorbike, a 24-year-old woman who resides in San Gwann, was injured in a crash involving a Toyota IQ driven by a 60-year-old woman from Naxxar.

The 24-year-old was taken to Mater Dei Hospital.

Investigations are ongoing.
