The Office of the Attorney General has acknowledged an email sent by the Victim Support Agency on behalf of Doriette Rizzo Naudi, in her request to view the magisterial inquiry report over her husband’s mysterious death.

Mario Rizzo Naudi’s wife, Doriette, has been seeking answers for four months on the events leading up to the beloved doctor’s sudden death, and roughly two months since the magisterial inquiry into his death was concluded.

The conclusions of the report were withheld from the family by the inquiring magistrate, and Doriette received no valid reason as to why they could not see it.

Doriette, in contact with The Malta Independent, said that the Victim Support Agency has phoned her to say that they will be acting on her behalf, and proceeded to contact the Office of the Attorney General, requesting if Doriette can view the magisterial inquiry report at the office.

Through her lawyer, Doriette had already made a request to view the conclusions of the inquiry to the Attorney General’s office, but did not receive a reply.

The office acknowledged the request through an email sent by the Victim Support Agency on Doriette’s behalf, and said that her case is being given attention.

Mario Rizzo Naudi died on 1 April 2023 at Mater Dei hospital, a week after he had seemingly fallen off a ladder in the garage of his home in Ghaxaq.

He suffered memory loss, confusion as well as several fits due to his head injury. Many strange details surround his death, which has left Doriette and her family living in a limbo of uncertainty, not knowing exactly what had happened to the well-loved doctor.
