A woman was taken to hospital after she lost control of the car she was driving and crashed into a parked van, the police said Monday.

The accident took place in Labour Avenua, Zejtun, at 5am.

The woman, aged 38 of Zejtun, lost control of the Honda Fit she was driving and crashed into a Ford Transit, which was parked on the side of the road.

She was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
