NTM said Saturday that the Ramla l-Hamra first hatchlings have hatched and the baby turtles have made it safely to the sea.

This was a difficult hatching since the little ones started coming out at daytime and exposed to the sun, the NGO said on its Facebook page.

Under the guidance of a vet and the assistance of ERA, the first hatchlings were monitored to ensure they were of good strength as they made their way to the sea.

The NGO appealed to all boats passing close to Ramla Bay to drive slowly as the little ones swim out to open sea.
