The biker who was involved in a traffic accident in Zebbug on Sunday has died in hospital, the police said.

The accident occurred on Triq il-Belt in Zebbug at 11am.

It involved a bike, a Honda CBR, and a Kia Ceed driven by a 41-year-old woman from Mellieha.

The rider was taken to Mater Dei Hospital with serious injuries. The police said Monday that he had died.

Magistrate Victor Axiak launched an inquiry and investigations are ongoing.
