Two bikers grievously injured in separate accidents

Two bikers were grievously injured in separate accidents on Tuesday and Wednesday, the police said.

A woman was grievously injured when she lost control of the bike she was riding, hit a pavement and fell.

The accident took place in Birkirkara Road, St Julian’s, on Tuesday at 8pm.

The woman, aged 26 of Gzira, was riding a Chaoya E-bee.

In the second accident, a 33-year-old man was grievously injured when the bike he was riding was involved in a crash with a Kia Avella.

The accident took place on the Mriehel by-pass at 6am on Wednesday.

The biker, a man aged 33 of St Paul’s Bay, was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.

The Kia was being driven by a 19-year-old man of Birkirkara.
