Twin girls were born a few minutes apart, but in different years, in Croatia, media report.

The twins were born in a Clinical Hospital Centre in Split, the first a minute before midnight on 31 December 2023, and the other a minute after midnight, on 1 January, 2024.

“There was a really unusual situation last night, when the twins were born just like in Gibonni’s poem – at midnight, one a little earlier, the other later,” said the head of the Perinatology Department of this hospital, Damir Roje.
