A motorbike rider was grievously injured in an accident in Gozo.

The accident, between a motorbike being ridden by a 27-year-old man from Kercem and a Peugeot Partner driven by a 42-year-old man from Zejtun, took place at noon on Triq Għajn Għabdun in Kercem.

The motorbike rider was taken to the Gozo General Hospital by ambulance.

Investigations are ongoing.
