On Friday, 23 February, a group of third-year students enrolled in the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Arts at the University of Malta, are organising a thrift event. The purpose of this event is to raise funds for their final exhibition this year as part of their dissertation. Besides raising funds, this event aims to promote green shopping.
The Sift n' Thrift event will be held at the Media and Knowledge Science (MAKS) Faculty in Room 414 at the University of Malta. Among the items, one can find clothes, shoes, jewellery accessories and books.
Martina Vella, the team leader, urges the public to attend in order to support local artists and their projects. She said that the public can follow their Instagram account @dga_yr_2024 to stay updated and to follow other future projects.
Signs will be placed around the University to lead the public to the event, starting from Quad, in front of the canteen. The event will commence at 10am and conclude at 4pm.
A donation of €1 will be requested at the entrance as part of the funding of the final exhibition.
Information about this event can also be followed on the Facebook page DGA 2024 Event.
