PN MP Beppe Fenech Adami on Tuesday made a request for the street where the Russian Embassy is located in Malta to be renamed after the late Russian Opposition Leader Alexei Navalny.

Fenech Adami spoke in Parliament, where he requested on behalf of the PN, that the street in San Gwann, Triq Ic-Ciefa, be renamed after Navalny. He described Navalny as a hero for what he did for his country, and for freedom of democracy.

Following the request, Parliament held a minute of silence in memory of Navalny.
