A new tourist attraction named 'The Ħaż-Żebbuġ Heritage Trail' has been launched by the Malta Tourism Authority and the Żebbuġ local council.

In a statement, the Tourism Ministry said that the two entities are working together to offer tourists the opportunity to explore the historical, cultural, and religious heritage that the locality has to offer.

The Malta Tourism Authority will be assisting the Local Council by introducing new signs around Ħaż-Żebbuġ, as well as maps and more information about this locality on the official VisitMalta website.

These details were announced at a press conference addressed by the Minister for Tourism and Consumer Protection, Clayton Bartolo, in the presence of the Chairman of the Malta Tourism Authority, Gavin Gulia, the Mayor of Ħaż-Żebbuġ, Mark Camilleri, and the councilor of the same Council.

Minister Clayton Bartolo remarked that initiatives like these continue to spread the wide range of offerings that our country can provide in the tourism world.

"Malta can become a unified tourist zone. In localities that are not traditionally touristy, we are already seeing the introduction of boutique hotels and restaurants. In light of this confidence among the private sector, we are doing our part to ensure that every village or town has a holistic tourist product for every visitor," stated Minister Bartolo.
