A man was grievously injured on Tuesday afternoon after he was hit by a car in Luqa, the police said.

The accident took place in Qormi Road at 3.15pm.

The pedestrian, aged 22 of Mosta, was hit by a Fiat Panda driven by a 52-year-old man of Qormi.

He was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
