A man has lost his life in a crash in Gozo.

The accident occurred at 8.30pm on Marsalforn Road, Zebbug, Gozo. Police constables saw a man on the floor while patrolling after an accident on a motorcycle.

The 64-year-old who resided in Xaghra, police said, crashed into a pole while riding a Yamaha motorcycle. A medical team tried to assist the man, but he was declared dead on site. News reports read that the deceased was German.

A magisterial inquiry was launched and investigations are ongoing.
