A man was seriously injured on Friday morning when he was hit by a car in Birkirkara, the police said.
The accident happened in Sir Anthony Mamo Road at 7.20am.
The man, aged 37 from Pakistan, and a resident in Sliema, was hit by a Hyundai Tucson driven by a 58-year-old man of Naxxar.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Magistrate Joe Mifsud is leading an inquiry.
