A 25-year-old motorbike rider was grievously injured in an accident.

The accident took place at 11.30pm Saturday evening on Mgarr road, Għajnsielem. A VW Tiguan driven by a 52-year-old from Xewkija collided with a Suzuki DRZ ridden by a 25-year-old from Naxxar. The 25-year-old motorbike rider was taken to the Gozo hospital for care.

Investigations are ongoing.
