The Armed Forces of Malta on Monday evening rescued three crew members of an oil tanker after they required medical attention.
In a brief statement, the AFM said that the Malta Rescue Coordination Centre coordinated the rescue of three crew members from onboard a 239 metres Crude Oil Motor Tanker who required medical assistance after having fallen unconscious due to being stuck in a hydrocarbon tank.
“An Armed Forces of Malta Air asset was deployed to the area, with an Armed Forces of Malta Medical Officer on board, to conduct this rescue,” the AFM said.
All casualties were brought to Malta and handed over to medical staff for further attention.
