A man was found dead, most likely from an electric shock, in a garage in Msida on Wednesday, the police said.
At 5am, the police were informed that a person was found dead in the common area of garages on Triq Anton Inglott.
The police found a medical team on site trying to help the victim, however he was certified as dead.
Preliminary investigations found that the 57-year-old resident of Hamrun was washing some vehicles in his garage when he most likely was killed by an electric shock.
He has been named as Lawrence Piscopo.
Magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici launched an inquiry and police investigations are ongoing to establish the dynamics of the incident.
