The CEO at the Malta Chamber of Commerce Marthese Portelli has denied media reports published on the Labour Party media website that she will be contesting for the PN Secretary General role.

Portelli debunked the news late on Monday in a Facebook post, referring to the reports published on the Partit Laburista media website over these past days, which speculated that Portelli would be putting her name forward for the role.

"I want to set the record straight: these claims are factually incorrect and baseless.  I have no intention whatsoever to contest or take up any position within any political organisation," Portelli said.

She continued that her commitment remains solely at The Malta Chamber, where she is "totally dedicated" to continue advocating in favour of ethical business and good governance.
