Il-Kazin tal-Imqarbin, a new musical by Luke Saydon, extends its run of performances

1986. A phone rings. "Hello?" A voice delivers instructions-directions to a secret club known as "Il-Każin tal-Imqarbin." A place of irreverence, where men come to be free. Here, the outside world ceases to exist. Men dance. Men kiss. Men tease. Men fall in love with men. But one day, the virus arrives. And the music stops.

From the award-winning production team behind "It-Teatru tal-Miskin", this October, comes an evocative new queer musical in Maltese: Il-Każin tal-Imqarbin. Penned by Luke Saydon, the show is inspired by true Maltese queer stories-a love letter to an uncelebrated generation. Directed by Denise Mulholland and movement directed by Chakib Zidi, the production features a stellar cast namely Jamie Cardona, Luke Saydon, Ryan Grech, Raphael Pace, and Josette Ciappara.

With the first two weekends of performances sold out, a third set of performances running from the 24th to the 27th of October have been added due to overwhelming demand. Prioritizing accessibility, the production offers accessible seating, a touch tour, a digital show pack, relaxed performances, and concessions.

Il-Każin tal-Imqarbin is rated 15+ and will be performed at the Valletta Campus Theatre in Maltese with English subtitles on the 12th, 17th, 19th, 24th, and 26th of October, and with Maltese subtitles on the 20th of October.
