Activists, organisations, and communities met outside Parliament, in Valletta today to mark one year of the war in the Middle East. The demonstration, organised by Moviment Graffitti, the Embassy of Palestine in Malta, the Watermelon Warriors, Youth for Palestine, and Ġustizzja għall-Palestina, also included the participation of several other groups.
As part of the event, a visual installation commemorating the victims was displayed next to the Parliament building.
The organisers called on the Government of Malta to adopt a clearer and more decisive stance. Malta has yet to reaffirm its recognition of the State of Palestine, and its statements on international platforms remain.
Additionally, the Maltese government was urged to publicly declare that it will not allow the passage of military supplies to Israel through its waters and airspace.
