Parliament was briefly suspended on Tuesday as Labour Party MP Rosianne Cutajar remarked that Deputy Speaker David Agius was ignoring her earlier in the session when she raised her hand to ask a Parliamentary Question.
Agius insisted that Cutajar should retract her statement, and repeated himself when Cutajar initially refused. He then declared that the session would be suspended after Cutajar continued to refuse to retract her statement, saying that she has the right to ask questions and was being ignored for some time before being given permission to speak.
The session resumed minutes after being suspended.
