Members of the Labour Party administration visited several companies that established their business in Malta over recent years "as a result of the Government's work to create new economic niches," a Labour Party statement read.

"During a visit to Base Camp in Żejtun, the CEO of Gaming Malta, Ivan Filletti, explained that Malta currently has over 300 employees in the digital gaming development sector, earning over €50,000 per year from both local and international companies in this sector. He mentioned that some of these companies have annual budgets of €100 million to develop digital games for global consumption."

"Gaming Malta is working with MCAST to train around 400 students in this sector, which, according to industry operators, have been drawn to Malta for the skills potential of the Maltese workforce and the favorable business conditions. Operators who spoke with Labour Party administration members stated that foreign companies are relocating to Malta because they are encouraging each other to invest millions of euros and operate from the country," the PL said.

Labour Party CEO Leonid McKay remarked that this is a new economic niche that has emerged thanks to the Government and is offering quality jobs. "He explained that this aligns with Malta's vision to attract foreign investment that requires more talent and specific skills. He added that, in the context of the 2025 Budget presented by the Government, the country is focusing more on a quality economy, as well as quality jobs, especially for young people."
