Beppe Fenech Adami said that doctors have told him that he has overcome cancer "after 10 years of therapy, medical interventions, a major operation, and 34 trips to a London hospital".

The Nationalist Party MP announced this development on social media, in which he thanked his wife, children, and family, as well as the doctors and friends who have helped him throughout those 10 years. "Thank you to everyone who walked this journey with me: The Wife, the children, the family, all the doctors and many, many friends... Above all, Thanks to God who held my hands and never let me give up."

He concluded by encouraging anyone else going through illness, and urged all to care for each other and celebrate life.
