A woman was grievously injured on Wednesday morning in a fight between neighbours in Marsaxlokk, the police said.
The incident took place in Lepanto Street at 8.15am.
The woman, aged 30, was injured in the face by a pointed instrument.
The police later arrested a man aged 32 in connection with the incident.
