Sunday marked the successful conclusion of the Jump for Life event, an initiative aimed at encouraging individuals struggling with addiction to take the courageous step towards seeking help.
"The event began with an invigorating hike to the stunning Sanap Cliffs, followed by exciting kayak trips along Gozo's picturesque coastline. The highlight of the day was the symbolic sea jump, where 26 brave participants leaped into the cold waters at noon, representing the courage needed to take the first step towards recovery," a statement by the OASI Foundation said.
"The Jump for Life event served as a powerful reminder that seeking help is an act of bravery, not weakness. Each jump symbolized a personal commitment to breaking free from addiction and embracing a healthier future. Organized by OASI Foundation, this event not only brought people together in solidarity but also raised awareness about the importance of community support in overcoming addiction."
"The OASI Foundation would like to thank the Ministry for Gozo and Planning for sponsoring the event. A huge thank you also goes to ERRC, Victoria Scout Group, and Xlendi Water Sports for their support. Lastly, the OASI Foundation would like to thank the staff and volunteers for their dedication and help to make this event possible. Together, let's continue to inspire courage and change lives."
