A three-year-old girl is among four people who were injured following a traffic accident in Luqa on Monday afternoon, the police said.
The accident happened in Triq Ħal-Far at around 1.30pm on Monday, the police said.
An ELF truck driven by a 44-year-old man from Marsascala was involved in a collision with a Suzuki Swift car, which was being driven by A 30-year-old man. A 7-year-old woman and a three-year-old girl, also from Marsascala, were in the car.
All four were taken to hospital, with the woman suffering grievous injuries while the driver of the car was slightly hurt.
The child's condition is as yet unknown, the police said Tuesday, while the driver of the truck suffered severe shock.
Parts of the road have been closed, and the police are advising commuters to avoid the area.
