A man suffered grievous injuries while using wood-cutting machinery, the police said.
The police were informed that assistance was needed at a garage on Triq l-Isqof M.F. Buttigieg, in Nadur at 11:30 AM on Wednesday.
The police went on site, and a preliminary investigation revealed that a 47-year-old worker, a resident of Nadur, sustained injuries while operating wood-cutting machinery.
A medical team was called to the scene to provide assistance, and an ambulance transported the victim to Gozo General Hospital, where he was later certified as suffering from grievous injuries.
Investigations by the police, along with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority, are still ongoing.
