Two men were arrested in Naxxar on Saturday morning following reports of a break-in, the police said.
The police were informed at 9,15am that an attempted theft was taking place from a residence in Buzjett. Two men were seen breaking into a residence.
Officers who went on site noticed two men who fit the description the police had been given and they were arrested.
The men, aged 59 on Xaghra and 38 of Santa Venera, are being held for questioning.
