Two cars collided on Tuesday afternoon, causing one of the vehicles to overturn. There were no injuries as both drivers refused medical assistance, police said.

The collision occurred in Triq iż-Żejfa, Mosta at around 4:40pm between a Hyundai i20 and a Toyota iQ. The Hyundai was driven by a male and the Toyota by a female driver.

Access towards Mosta from Burmarrad was closed off by police as the Civil Protection Department worked to clean up the debris and lift the overturned car back onto its wheels.

Tow trucks were notified about the traffic accident within the hour it took place.

Traffic in Mosta towards Mġarr was said to be flowing at a regular rate around an hour after the accident occurred, while Triq iż-Żejfa was still closed off.
