A man and woman were grievously injured in a fight in Sannat on Sunday, the police said Monday.

The incident happened in an establishment in Triq ta' Cenc at 8pm.

Officers who went on site found a 33-year-old man who had allegedly been injured after being hit by a glass bottle. He was taken to Gozo General Hospital for treatment.

The police were also informed that earlier a 42-year-old woman, also of Nadur, had also been injured in the fight and needed treatment in hospital.

Both were found to have suffered grievous injuries.
