As a precautionary measure, the Environmental Health Directorate notice said that individuals who are currently in possession of the vitamin D supplement "FOLIDI" are strongly advised not to consume the product until further notice.
"Preliminary assessments have indicated that FOLIDI may contain higher levels of vitamin D than those declared on its label. Excessive intake of vitamin D can lead to potential health risks, particularly if consumed over a prolonged period."
As a result: Consumers are advised not to take "FOLIDI" until the necessary investigations are concluded. In addition, anyone in possession of this supplement may return it to the pharmacy from which it was purchased, the directorate said.
"Authorities are actively conducting a thorough investigation to assess the extent of the issue. We thank the public for their cooperation and understanding in this matter, which is being handled with the highest priority to ensure patient safety."
