A teenager is in a serious condition after hitting his head against the rocks when he jumped into the sea at Ghajn Tuffieha, the police said Sunday.
The accident took place at 6.15pm on Saturday.
The youngster is a 17-year-old boy from the Dominican Republic.
He was given first assistance on sit by other swimmers before a medical team arrived and took him to hospital.
A magisterial inquiry is under way.
