A man was grievously injured in court on Wednesday.
On Wednesday morning at 11.30am, police assistance was requested after an argument occurred during a court case in one of the courtrooms.
Preliminary investigations resulted that while a 28-year-old man residing in St Paul's Bay was leaving the courtroom on the Court's order, he approached one of the individuals involved in the case with him, a police statement said. Some people who were present immediately intervened, and police officers along with court officials also assisted, it said.
The 28-year-old man was immediately ordered to be arrested, while the other individual, a 49-year-old man also from St Paul's Bay, went to the nearest Health Centre, where he was later certified to have suffered grievous injuries.
Police investigations related to this case are still ongoing.
