As expected Ukranian side Dynamo Kyiv proved to be too strong for loval champions Hamrun Spartans.

At the Tony Bezzina Stadium, Hamrun's gallant performance was not enough as Dynamo are practically through to the next round of the Champions League after building a three‐goal lead.

Hamrun had a strong start and almost took the lead on 10 minutes when an Eder shot was blocked, following a defensive bluner by the Dynamo de‐ fenders.

Two minutes later Dynamo opened their account when Vanat tapped the ball home from close range following a good move by the Ukranian champions.

Dynamo had another goal rules out after VAR consultation and on 76 minutes Buyalsky doubled the score.

Just before the final whistle Dynamo scored a third goal through Nazar Voloshyn.

The second leg will be played next week in the Polish city of Lubin.

Floriana defeated in Kosovo

Floriana lost the first leg of the second round of the Conference League, going down 4‐2 in Kosovo against Ballkani.

Floriana had a very good start going in front after only eight minutes with a Jake Grech penalty.

Five minutes later Ballkani drew level with a Tolaj header, but on 25 minutes the Greens were back in front with a Jah goal, a goal after an impressive run from mid pitch.

On 27 minutes Ballkani were level again with an Adetunji goal and five minutes later Tolaj scored his second goal to pur Ballkani in front for the first time in the game.

On 76 minutes Adetunji sealed the issue with Ballkani's fourth goal, a result that makes it rather difficult for the Greens to recover in the return leg in Malta on the 31st July.
