Heavy rainfall has hit the central part of Malta, with readers reporting also lightning, thunder and hail.
Earlier this week, the Met Office forecast rain for the weekend after hot days leading up to the feast of Santa Marija.
Rain has been reported in Birkirkara, San Gwann, St Julian's and Sliema.
