A regeneration project in the social housing sector in Gudja has been completed, the Ministry for Social and Affordable Accommodation stated on Wednesday, adding that more families are able to enjoy a renovated residential environment through the project.
Minister Galdes said that the work on the project was carried out with an investment of over €100,000, and continued that the government is carrying out such interventions because it believes that there should be continuous investment not only in homes, but also in the quality of life of families and the communities in which they live.
Galdes commented that such regeneration projects make a tangible difference in the daily lives of families living in the affected communities, in this case, the community of Gudja. He added that the Gudja project is just one of a series of regeneration projects which have been or still are being carried out, including projects in Mosta, Ta' Giorni, Zejtun, Hamrun, Santa Lucija, Paola, and Tarxien.
The ministry stated that the aforementioned projects are being carried out by the Housing Authority in collaboration with Housing Projects Solutions Ltd. It added that the projects are a display of the government's vision and commitment to raising social housing standards and continuing to strengthen the well-being of families.
